Behind the Blend: My Tales of Autumn Collection (And Why I'm Totally Biased)
Madia RootsShare
Okay, can we just talk about fall for a second?
I know, I know...everyone's obsessed with autumn these days. But honestly? I've been ride-or-die for this season since I was a kid dragging my mom through Hobby Lobby just to smell those cinnamon apple broomsticks. You know the ones. They hit you right when you walk through those automatic doors, and suddenly you're planning your entire aesthetic around fake fall leaves and wondering if you really need another pumpkin-scented candle. (The answer is always yes.)
So when it came time to create my Tales of Autumn collection, I basically poured every cozy fall fantasy I've ever had into these wax melts. And let me tell you—I got a little carried away.
The Inspiration (AKA My Fall Obsession)
It's October, the leaves are actually changing colors (rare win for my area), and I'm curled up on my porch with a book and the perfect chai latte. The air smells like woodsmoke and possibilities, and I'm completely lost in whatever story I'm reading. That's the vibe I was chasing.
But also? Those random autumn moments that just get you. Like walking down the seasonal aisle at Target and getting overwhelmed by cinnamon bark and apple cider scents. Or that first crisp morning when you can finally justify wearing your favorite oversized sweater without sweating to death.
I wanted to bottle all of that. The cozy, the nostalgic, the slightly extra fall energy that makes you want to buy decorative gourds you'll never actually use.
The Collection: Six Autumn Stories
Autumnal Writer's Loft (my personal favorite, and yes, I'm completely biased) Fresh pumpkin and toasted coconut hit you first like the opening lines of your next favorite book. Then nutmeg, spiced clove, and cedar leaf warm everything up, followed by smoked oak, sandalwood, and soft white musk. It's basically if a cozy writing retreat had a scent, and I may have spent way too much time perfecting this blend because I kept getting distracted by how good my workspace smelled.
The Pumpkin Volume Okay, this is basically fall comfort food in wax form. Creamy pumpkin and caramelized brown sugar start the story (hello, pumpkin spice everything season), then spiced nutmeg and warm clove bud add that perfect bakery warmth. The base of cozy bakery vanilla, whipped cream, and a hint of cinnamon makes it smell like someone's been baking all afternoon with an old family cookbook.
Library in Fall This one starts with chilled rainfall and crisp autumn air (because what's more atmospheric than a rainy fall day?), then brings in damp paper, spiced oakmoss, and rich earth. The base of aged cedar bookshelf, golden amber, and soft musk makes it feel like you're actually wandering through stacks of old books while autumn happens outside the windows.
Beneath October Pages Toasted apples and cedar chips open the story, then charred brown sugar and smoke deepen the plot (I'm proud of that description, not gonna lie). Vanilla bean and roasted marshmallows finish it off because sometimes you need your autumn scent to feel like a campfire story session.
A Haunted Spellbook Okay, this one's a little spooky, a little mystical, and completely necessary for October vibes. I can't give away all the scent notes yet, but think old books, mysterious herbs, and just a hint of something supernatural.
Leaves and Lattes Because honestly, what's autumn without the perfect coffee shop moment? This blend captures everything I love about grabbing my favorite drink and settling in with a good book while leaves swirl outside.
The Real Talk
Here's the thing about creating this collection...I got way too emotionally invested. Like, I'd blend a new combination and immediately start planning my entire fall reading list around it. My workspace became this amazing autumn scent laboratory, and I may have delayed launching because I kept tweaking formulas and getting lost in my own product testing.
But that's kind of the point, right? These aren't just wax melts; they're little autumn experiences. They're for the people who get genuinely excited about seasonal transitions and believe that the right scent can completely transform your reading nook into something magical.
And yes, I'm absolutely playing favorites with Autumnal Writer's Loft. Sue me. Sometimes you create something that just feels like you, and that blend feels like all my favorite fall moments rolled into one perfect scent story.
What's your autumn scent story? Are you team cozy-coffee-shop or team mysterious-old-library? Because honestly, I created enough options to cover all the fall personality types.
P.S. - If you're the type of person who starts planning your autumn aesthetic in August, we're probably going to be great friends.
